Service Delivery Manager (IT)

Job description / Role

Large Manufacturing company, leaders in the industry are looking to partner with a Service Delivery Manager (IT).

The ideal candidate will have managed service operations in a SAP, SAP IT Service Management on SAP Solution Manager with the relevant manufacturing industry experience. Managing 3rd party offshore service desk/help-desk vendors is a non-negotiable.
- Managing the delivery, performance and supply chain of IT services to provide the required level of service, system performance and functionality required to meet business objectives
- Creating and communicating absolute understanding and transparency of total cost of ownership of IT across the client to facilitate better strategic decisions, budget planning and corporate service planning.

Requirements

- 10 years relevant experience with 5 years in a Management position.
- Preferably a graduate
- Preferably certified in ITIL (Expert level)
- Preferably certified in Prince II
- Demonstrable experience in Service Management in a similar organisation (size, sector, systems, budget)
- Experienced with the product, procedures, standards and routines related to maintain an IS office
- Credibility and character to gain agreement and commitment without full authority at all levels of the organisation.
- Capable of developing and maintaining strong working relationships with project team members, delivery teams and third party suppliers.
- Capable of engaging and influencing senior managers
