Service Support Engineer

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is working with a British Engineering company, who specialise in Wet Processing within the Manufacturing sector. Their offices are located across the globe and are one of the leading experts within the GCC region. Possessing a strong foot-hold in the marketplace, the Dubai based office has head-quartered it’s MENA operations for the past 9 years. Due to the recent awarding of projects, they are now looking to expand their aftersales team.

You will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs on equipment of all assigned projects within the GCC region. You will Interact with external customers to determine service needs, create any parts quotes and ensure high level of customer satisfaction with services performed as well as work closely with Service Engineers and Technical Support Managers to install equipment and provide instructions to the client on the proper use of machinery.

In addition, you will provide after-sales support for all customers within the region, which involves troubleshooting issues and coordinating additional resources. The role will require you to carry out planned/unplanned maintenance as required including PMI visits and customer breakdowns and produce detailed reports from site visits back to operations team to record progress and recommend future improvements..

Requirements

The successful candidate should hold a bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering and have at least five years’ experience as a Support Engineer or Technician in the UAE. Experience in Wet Processing and technical service support is essential. Given the on-going travel restrictions, the ideal candidate will be based on the ground in the UAE
