Due to this expansion within the region we are looking for experienced Shipping Agent who is looking for a new challenge to work in an independent environment and take your career to the next level. This is a role that you can develop as your own and grow your own team

Responsibilities
- Freight forwarding - Ports authorities and process
- Oversee all shipping functions; managing a fully fledged shipping desk within the company
- Obtain freight quotes (break bulk and container)
- Markets will include from Asia / China / Black Sea / ARA / India into the Middle East, India and East Africa
- Booking containers / vessels, negotiating deals on storage time, discharge rates and demurrage rates etc
- Together with Operations will be involved in calling forward material and having pre-shipment inspections,
- Manage all the shipping docs – warehouse receipts, BLs, appended declarations etc

Requirements

- Minimum of 10 years experience at senior level within a shipping agency or similar environment
- Experience in Logistics and Supply chain preferably within Building Materials
- Possess a high level of working independently and successfully
- Have an entrepreneurial attitude towards a long term personal development and career growth opportunity
