Shutdown Manager

Job description / Role

On behalf of our client we are currently looking for a Shutdown Manager for a staff position in U.A.E.

Ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and minimum 15 years of experience in maintenance shutdowns in the oil and gas industry.

Candidate must have been in a leadership role for not less than 5 years with good background in Site Organization, resources management, and ability to handle critical situations faced in plant shutdown.

The candidate must know all shutdown related safety aspects, quality of work requirement and excellent communication skills.

The candidate has to have extensive experience in the following:
- Shutdowns that involve at least 500+ persons as a single team, and on 24 hrs basis.
- Dissemination the scope of work into sections handled by team.
- Planning Shutdowns and associated resources including subcontractor management and Plant & Machinery management.
- Excellent safety and Quality records with sufficient knowledge in the applicable standards in these areas.

Requirements

The candidate should have sound knowledge of:
- Project Management of EPC Projects
- Project Planning and Cost Control
- Application of production targets
- Application of Total Quality Management Systems
- Resolving Technical and Commercial matters
- Fabrication and Erection of process piping and equipment erection.
- Computer literate, and fluency in the use of the software packages like MS PROJECT, MS OFFICE etc.
- Construction safety, including risk assessment and Job Safety Analysis
- Modern working practices, with special reference to access, working at heights and heavy lifting and erection.
