Signage Designer

Job description / Role

Genius Loci is a leading brand strategy & industrial design firm specializing in the development of wayfinding strategy and design, consulting internationally and across the region to many large-scale developments, resorts, and mixed-use environments e.g. Jumeirah al Naseem, Dubai Opera, Meraas, Emaar, Bluewater’s Island Dubai, Dubai Parks and Resorts.

We’re looking to hire exceptionally talented mid to senior-level designers to join our signage and wayfinding team in Dubai, UAE.

Our candidates must have 3 to 5 years of experience in a design studio or agency. (e.g. signage, interiors, architecture, industrial.) with a detailed eye for design.

• You'll work closely within our design team to create compelling and high-quality conceptual outputs that include renderings and comprehensive design presentations for wayfinding and signage.
• Successful candidates need to possess excellent software skills in Adobe Suite, Rhino and Keyshot. (Other 3D software are a plus) with photo-realistic and stylized visualization techniques.

Salary:
AED 10,000 to 25,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Your role will require:

• The ability to work independently and coordinate with local and international teams.
• To integrate with the extended design team, understand design reports from various disciplines, read plans, review presentations, and appreciate the destination aesthetic and space function.
• Conceptualise signage systems for hotels, resorts, retail environments, master-planned mixed-use developments, amongst others, and have the ability to visualize these in sketches, mood images, 3D rendering (e.g. Rhino and Keyshot), and Adobe illustrations.
• Create high-quality, self-explanatory design presentations and reports including design thinking, illustrations, materials, sizes, and specifications.
• Liaise with clients and various project teams to understand their requirements.

Your portfolio must be included and should be able to demonstrate an ability to produce projects with a variety of scale and complexity.
