Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A leading government entity in Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint a Soft Facilities Management Unit Head - UAE National reporting to the Technical Maintenance & Facilities Manager. The Soft FM Unit Head manages the day-to-day general technical maintenance services operations of the entity, based on a system of coordination, steering and supervision administered in order to achieve an irreproachable quality of service, meet established targets, objectives and employee engagement in a motivated work environment. This includes but is not limited to managing all internal and external cleaning, waste, pest control and logistical services.

Main Responsibilities:

- Define metrics for the measurement of the success for the Soft FM & Logistics Unit, initiatives and projects, analyze data collected to determine the success of past and current initiatives and projects and use recommendations to ensure the design and implementation of future projects meet the goals and objectives
- Prepare reports on the overall performance of the Soft FM & Logistics Unit for the Technical Maintenance & FM Manager
- Develop medium and long-term strategic plans of the Department in line with the entity’s vision, mission and strategic goals
- Establish departmental goals, methods, policies and procedures for implementing programs in alignment with the Soft FM & Logistics Unit and Authority’s strategic vision, mission and goals
- Review project proposals or plans to determine time requirements and funding limitations within the Soft FM & Logistics Unit
- Establish departmental plans which project funding, feasibility, staffing, and time constraints of the department ensuring the availability of required resources to carry out all the tasks related to the Soft FM & Logistics Unit (in coordination with HR Department)
- Contribute to the satisfactory operations of Soft FM & Logistics Unit along with moving & handling services, reception and cleaning
- Execute and oversee the implementation of department policies, procedures, controls, and management covering all areas of general services
- Develop and manage the Soft FM & Logistics Unit budget for input to the Technical, Operations budget
- Execute operational management and implements planning of staff and contractors
- Monitor the performance quality indicators and adapts Soft FM & Logistics unit accordingly
- Participate in determination and control of Soft FM & Logistics unit budget
- Carry out the governance activities that commensurate with the role
- Any other duties appropriate to the post

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or any related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities and maintenance function, preferably in the healthcare or hospitality industry
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to deal with change and diverse people
- Accuracy and attention to details
