As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering complex Digital projects from early thought/vision stage to completed roll-out. The job holder is also responsible for challenging current practices, optimizing platform speed and ensuring cost efficiency.

What you'll be doing:
Strategical:
- Develop the business plan of the Division in line with strategic objectives of the Own Concept Brands
Formulate and communicate Division performance objectives and continuously monitor progress and alignment towards strategic objectives

Managerial:
- Oversee the operations of the Division, provide expertise, encourage teamwork and facilitate related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards and staff pride in contribution
- Monitor the yearly budget of the Division and control expenditure to ensure optimal use

Operational:
- Manage technical Digital projects in terms of scope, pre-requisites, risks, quality assurance, execution and acceptance
- Understand customer, business and stakeholder needs, define priorities and propose technical solutions (scope, dependencies, risks, budget, schedule...etc.)
- Lead the comprehensive analysis (incl. user interviews, system requirements...etc.), planning, development and implementation of customer facing applications/application systems/infrastructure and other relevant high complexity technical projects (both for web and mobile – where applicable)
- Run the business and technical analysis of project ideas, determine required resources and ensure that all specifications are structured, aligned and documented. Validate proposals, ensure feasibility and explore execution options
- Manage 3rd party expertise/teams incl. developers, designers and consultants. Deliver success as per scope/schedule/plan/budget, minimizing and mitigating project risks
- Ensure the smooth collaboration between UX designers/product owner/coders/agencies and further stakeholders
- Analyse project feedback and enhancement requests; ensure business goals are met with heavy focus on user experience, quality and timely execution
- Track and project status and supervise the development/coding progress on a regular basis; ensure the quality of the work completed
- Create and deliver status reports on the projects
- Consult the business internally on tech projects as subject matter expert
- Recommend changes to improve the speed of several E-Commerce websites
- Optimize processes in order to improve speed of operations and cut costs

Team Management:
- Hire, grow and manage a team of software developers responsible for building and maintaining several E-Commerce websites and applications
- Assign individual objectives for employee performance management purposes, manage performance, empower staff, and provide formal and informal feedback in order to support professional development and maximize performance
