Solution Manager

Job description / Role

The Solution Manager is responsible for developing solution research reports, feasibility studies, and proposals, with all pre and post activities needed to ensure initiatives and deals are materialized.

The ideal candidate would come from a Systems Integrator background, and have worked in various capacities encompassing presales, business analysis, solution architecture, and product management.

The Solution Manager will technically report to the Director of Product Development and Marketing, and work very closely with the Director of Special Projects.

Main functions and Responsibilities:
- Conduct market and technology research and analysis, and compile detailed reports and studies
- Develop the architecture of large scale integrated Business IT and Security Solutions, and put together feasible technical solutions
- Research, identify, shortlist, and manage communication with suppliers and partners within the context of proposed solutions and initiatives
- Develop full technical and financial proposals, as well as sales and technical presentations for proposed solutions
- Develop business and technical feasibility studies for proposed initiatives
- Perform presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concepts to C-level executives and senior government officials
- Coordinate with Product Management, Software Development, R&D, and Technical Operations teams

Requirements

- Degree in Computer Engineering or Science; MBA is a plus
- Cumulative experience of 8+ years, with at least 5 within similar role
- Proven expertise in conceiving, architecting and designing large scale integrated IT and Security Solutions across different industries and technology platforms
- Proficiency in market and technology research and analysis
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting feasibility studies and developing proposals
- Effective suppliers management skills
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills in both English and Arabic
- Strong project management capabilities
- Good understanding of finance and accounting principles, especially budgeting
- Having subject matter expertise in at least three of the following domains, with a good level of familiarity within the others:
- Electronic / Smart Government (e-Services, ESB/GSB, etc.)
- Enterprise Business Applications (ECM, BPM, Case Management, e-Correspondence, etc.)
- Electronic Payment (EBPP, Prepaid Systems, Fare Collection, WPS, Clearing House, etc.)
- Logical Security Systems
- Physical Security Systems (Access Control, Surveillance, ANPR, etc.)
- Homeland Security / Law Enforcement Systems
- Transportation Management (ITS, Tolling, Public Transportation, etc.)
- Insurance and Medical Claims Management
