Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Helping doctors diagnose and monitor a variety of conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy and cancer.
- Registering patients, obtaining insurance authorization; types flashcards for X-Ray film; schedules patients; processing encounter forms;
- Performing a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high-quality images.
- Selecting proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis.
- Assessing patients and their clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
- Adjusting and setting radiographic controls, such as kilovoltage and milliamperage, to prescribed specifications for proper timing of exposure;
- Regulating the length and intensity of film exposure.
- Implementing infection control procedures for the work area.
- Checking X-rays for clarity of image, and retaking X-rays when needed.
- Process exposed cassetts using processing devices (CR System or processor) to obtain the images
- Maintaining minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining repairs needed to equipment.
- Assisting in more complex radiological examinations under the supervision of a radiologist and senior staff
- Protecting patient and other personnel from radiation hazards.
- Recording imaging identification and patient documentation quickly and accurately and observing protocols to ensure compliance with the patient confidentiality.
- Cooperating with Hospital Management with respect to any action taken by the ANH management to comply with EHSMS requirements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's of science in Sonography or Radiological Technology .
- Experienced as a Sonographer strongly preferred as you could daily use ultrasound high frequency sound waves to produce images of internal body tissues.
- Current Valid HAAD License, DHA License or exempted from the HAAD exam.
- Proficiency in English Language, Arabic Language would be desired.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Tools.
- Good interpersonal skills for relay information to physicians
- Organized and methodical.
- Able to relate to people from different cultural backgrounds.
