Job description / Role

Our client, a large paint company is currently looking for a Specification Specialist who will be responsible to write paints specifications in accordance with the company’s guidelines. You will also be responsible to support the decorative department as needed with all specification strategies, scope and budget.
Other responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Initiate, develop and track all major projects originating in decorative, which are strategically important to the company
- Gain understanding of major players’ requirements in order to specify the best paints systems commensurate with major players’ functional needs, budget and purchasing policies
- Monitor industry and competitor activities by providing market feedback to Specification manager to formulate effective marketing strategy
- Cooperate with Specification manager to achieve strategies within required scope and time schedules
- Visit agreed projects/targeted major players regularly according to business plan
- Establish and evaluate industry segments from time to time
- Visit consultants regularly to build good relationship
Requirements
- Female
- 2 to 4 years of experience in specification functions(paints/manufacturing/construction)
- Holder of Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in BA/Engineering or any relevant fields
- Knowledge in Paints industry
- Competent in delivering presentations/good communications /MS Office skills
- Fluent in English and Arabic
