Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a local retail group, are seeking a Sponsorship Manager.

Planning:
- Research on brands that can be prospective sponsors of our attractions, brand fit, their annual marketing budgets and motivation to be part of our attraction. Research the prospects activities in the region, their marketing initiatives, sponsorship culture, positioning, media presence etc
- Plan what can be offered to the client at the attraction, attraction information, script and process flow, creative activities, ideation, conceptualization, etc
- Identify synergies with the leasing department and existing tenant base that could be targeted for our attractions

Sales:
- Provide inputs for sponsorship sales strategy, pricing, annual sales plans, back up plans, targets, process flows and timelines
- Develop tailor made presentations for the client depending on the attraction, creative activity, brand experience, etc. Develop the sales pitch. Make presentations to clients
- Confirm sales to at least 20/25 major sponsors targeting revenues up to around AED 20 Million per year. To achieve this one may need to target and present to at least 100 prospects. The job involves meeting the sponsorship sales targets of the department
- Pre and post confirmation with assistance from the client servicing team
- Post presentation follow up, negotiations and closing of the deal
- Planning client events during the sales launch stage and even post confirmation stage


Client Relationship:
- Identify appropriate contact and start the sales process flow. Media agencies associated with the client
- Build long term relationships with brands and conduct the entire process flow.

MIS & Coordination:
- Coordinating with the respective departments like operations team for finalizing activities within the establishment, Marketing department for sponsor communication and promotions
- Coordinate with internal departments to finalise elements of the contract
- Coordinating all activities as one team

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree/ Post Graduate or Diploma Holder in Business Administration
- Minimum 6 to 7 years’ experience in the media and entertainment industry focusing on media/sponsorship sales.
- Experience in interacting with Senior Brand/Marketing/Advertising Directors and decision makers.
- Experience in targeted proactive sales and exposure to concept selling and not just rate card selling.
- Local industry experience
