Sports Coordinator

Job description / Role

- Organize and participate in activities, events and sport fixtures.
- Publicize sporting activities/teams and results through appropriate media within Institute (e.g. website, facebook page).
- Liaise with the Communications Department on relevant media and news worthy Institute sports events and activities
- Ability to organize health and fitness programs to the student body
- Develop relationships, and student body, seeking their opinions on sporting/health and fitness matters, which affect them.
- Submit oral reports on sporting and recreation activities to SAO Director.
- Organize sporting teams for students to participate in.
- Evaluates players and assigns to team
- Assigns times and locations for each team practice and games
- Perform routine checks of practices, games, and facilities
- Complete required schedules, reports and records
- Perform coach or official duties as needed
- Requisition required materials, supplies and equipment and arrange for delivery

Requirements

- Preferably with a Master’s Degree in related field.
- Bachelors in Recreation, Sports Management or related field.
- Prior coaching and professional experience in athletics, recreation and/or physical education, minimum 3-4 years related experience
- Fitness instructor certification.
- CPR/First Aid instructor certificate
