Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Objectives: We are currently looking to hire a Steelworks Manager to oversee fabrication, welding, general steelworks on-board or in the plate workshop.
Main responsibilities: Responsible for planning, preparation and implementing repair schedules for ships/rigs under repair and maintenance works required by yard operations teams.
Reporting to: Production Manager
Duration: Permanent position
Desired start date: ASAP
Working Hours: Sunday-Thursday

Requirements

University Qualifications: Bachelors degree
Nature and length of previous experience: Minimum of 8 years experience in a ship repair & conversion yard.
Specialist knowledge: - Ship Repair
- Shipbuilding

- Management of large workforces

Soft Skills and Personality traits: Candidates must have strong management and leadership skills, they must have managed large workforce's within a shipyard previously to be considered for this vacancy.
Age Range: 40-55
Language Fluency: English
