Job description / Role

• Ensure cleanliness in dining areas, kitchens, and other food service areas.
• Clean and sanitize utensils, dishes, glassware, and other equipment.
• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in dining and kitchen areas.
• Operate dishwashing machines to clean dishes and utensils.
• Hand wash delicate items and those not suitable for machine cleaning.
• Ensure all items are properly sanitized and stored.
• Arrange and organize tables, chairs, and other furniture in dining areas.
• Set up tables with proper tableware and linens for dining service.
• Ensure all dining and kitchen areas are well-organized.
• Support the kitchen staff by assisting in food preparation tasks.
• Transport dishes, trays, and carts of food to and from the kitchen.
• Assist with the serving of food to guests, if required.
• Dispose of garbage and waste by established procedures.
• Separate and recycle materials as appropriate.
• Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with guests.
• Respond to customer inquiries and requests helpfully.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and sanitation standards.
• Follow hotel policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, waitstaff, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
• Be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Handle unexpected situations calmly and efficiently.
• Train and mentor new stewards as required.

Salary:
AED 2,500 to 3,500 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role may be preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
