Storage Backup Administrator

Job description / Role

- Design and manage the storage, backup and archival infrastructure
- Complete scheduled routine maintenance and system processing tuning
- Manage storage hardware
- Corresponding to security policy
- Undertake Storage and backup administration tasks and manage assigned projects
- Administer the banks archiving services
- Manage and control systems to provide IT services according to the approved SLA’s and OLA’s ensuring the quality of service and system scalability
- Storage Infrastructure design
- Implement maintain and tune backup services to use with core banking applications
- Design and document recovery procedures for servers
- Managing storage related projects
- Provide in-house training
- Provide 24x7x365 service and resolve any malfunctions according to the SLA’s to avoid any delay in Banks business enduring service continuity and minimising downtime while enhancing performance
- Adhere to ITD and banks policies procedures including but not limited to reporting internal and external processes, security, report immediately any potential / actual weaknesses / risks and incidents that are noticed or observed

Requirements

- Hands on experience in storage, backup and archiving systems
- Storage related certifications
- English speaker essential, Arabic speaker desired
- Must hold Bachelor’s Degree in related field
