Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Store Manager will ensure the Company Store meets sales plan and service results. Inspires, motivates, supervises and leads a team of 2 Retail Assistants to achieve sales goals. Responsible for overall operation of the store.

Managing day-to-day operations
- Provide consistent leadership in store in order to lead the team in service and sales activities.
- Ensure the safe and secure operation of the store at all times in compliance with Company guidelines.
- Responsible for accuracy of all Point of Sale Transactions made with excellent cash handling accuracy.
- Deliver 100% customer satisfaction at all times, using product knowledge of all brands to assist customer queries.
- Assist team members during busy periods.
- Maintain a clean and customer friendly environment in line with Corporate Sales merchandising guidelines.
- Resolve any issues/complains related to business and reported to Operations Manager.
- Assist in the execution of marketing program, including seasonal new product launches and product re-promotes sampling and merchandising programs within specified categories in accordance with company guidelines
- Provide regular feedback on new product launches and other programs as well as on local market trends and competitive activity to the Operations Manager
- Ensure company standard at all times
- Ensure all items are with correct batch coding and pricing.
- Maximize in-store visual projection and promotional areas (secure additional and best merchandising space where possible).

Team Management
- Ensure all Retail Assistants adhere to all of the procedures in relation to till operations and sales processing and meets the Company’s customer service standards.
- Monitor Retail Assistants performance and ensure the team is coached, developed and motivated in all aspects of the business (Selling/Product Knowledge/Administration/Customer Service etc.) to develop their competencies.
- Conduct Retail Assistants performance appraisal and report to Operations Manager any specific training needs on a fairly and timely manner
- Act as a personal role model to team members through own conduct, appearance and selling skills.
- Ensure all educational information from the Company is used and education initiatives are correctly implemented and followed up.
- Ensure excellent standards of timekeeping and attendance are maintained by the team and problems are followed up and dealt with promptly.
- Communicate information to all team members on a daily and weekly basis as required.

Customer Service
- Gather feedback from customers and forward it to Operations Manager.
- Handle customer complaints.
- Answers queries and obtains information, and follows up all pending matters related to stock, products, events etc.

Sales & Stock Management
- Monitor and report sales performance to the Operations Manager.
- Analyse results with Operations Manager to recognise areas of opportunity and growth that will build and impact overall business.
- Develop and execute in-store activity that will ensure the achievement of sales targets.
- Ensure adequate stock levels across all brands, to be monitored on a weekly basis in accordance with corporate sales service level agreements.
- Ensure all back office processing in relation to stock movements, receipts, adjustments and returns are processed in the correct way.
- Conduct monthly inventory and review ageing, out of stock, over stock, obsolescence and expiry reports.
- Place an order on a timely manner.

Administration / Clerical Task
- End of day banking and reconciliation.
- Prepares and coordinate sales reports in a timely manner.
- Manage and prepares operation/store expenses report.
- Manage and monitor Retail Assistants weekly/monthly schedule.
- Assist in the receiving of merchandise including pricing and verifying orders.

Self-Development
- Attend education seminars to gain Brand philosophy and product knowledge.

Other
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Conduct new employee induction.
- Lead by example to create an environment that is encouraging, respectful, and motivational and builds team co-operation.
- Apply grooming standard to all personnel as per company policy.

Requirements

- At least 3 years of retail and management experience in related field or environment.
- Experience having managed a retail store, and being in charge of staff.
- Experience with back office processing in relation to stock movements
- Experience conducting inventory
- Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point etc and strong experience of customer service in a retail environment
- Experience with stock checking and stock taking
