Job description / Role
Business Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement the company's strategic business development plan in alignment with overall organizational goals and objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and potential areas for diversification or expansion.
- Analyze market dynamics, competition, and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making.
New Business Opportunities:
- Identify and evaluate potential business partnerships, collaborations, and acquisitions that align with the company's growth objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify gaps and niches within the industry.
- Initiate and nurture relationships with key industry players, potential clients, and partners.
Relationship Building:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, industry influencers, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of business development strategies.
Proposal Development:
- Create compelling and tailored business proposals that highlight the company's value proposition and address client needs.
- Lead proposal development processes, coordinating inputs from various internal teams to ensure high-quality submissions.
Negotiations and Deal Closing:
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions with potential partners and clients.
- Structure agreements, terms, and conditions that align with the company's objectives and protect its interests.
Market Development:
- Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets, expand the company's client base, and increase revenue streams.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to adjust strategies accordingly.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of business development initiatives.
- Regularly report on progress, achievements, and challenges to senior management.
Thought Leadership:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars to establish the company as a thought leader in the field.
- Share insights and expertise through presentations, articles, and other thought leadership initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in strategic business development, sales, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform decisions.
- Proven track record of successful partnership development and deal closures.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other business development tools.
