Structural Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning and overseeing the construction of new buildings and structures, as well as making changes to existing structures. The Structural Engineer will work closely with architects, construction teams, and other professionals to ensure the structural integrity and safety of all projects.

Responsibilities:
- Designing and creating blueprints for new construction projects, as well as making changes to existing structures
- Overseeing the construction of buildings and structures to ensure they are safe and meet all relevant codes and standards
- Collaborating with architects, construction teams, and other professionals to determine the best structural designs and materials for each project
- Conducting on-site inspections to monitor progress and ensure that the construction is proceeding according to plans
- Performing calculations and analysis to ensure that structures can withstand environmental conditions and human use
- Ensuring that all projects comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
- Providing guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members

Salary:
AED 5,000 to 6,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable
- Proven experience working as a Structural Engineer, preferably in the UAE or Middle East region
- In-depth knowledge of engineering and construction principles, practices, and materials
- Proficiency in structural design software and other relevant tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent project management and communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
