Structural Section Manager

Job description / Role

An excellent opportunity has come up with a large construction consultancy firm in the UAE. Our client is currently looking for a Structural Section Manager. In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Analysis, design and permitting of Towers, Underground structures, Steel structures, Post tension, shoring.
• Resolving structural related problems and providing solutions for changes.
• Early stage option and strategy analysis, review of client briefs to develop optimum design solutions at early project stages.
• Prepare technical notes, design and review reports and calculations and project proposals.
• Client relationship management and excellent representation at new project interviews and as a client POC.
• Managing project resources and planning projects with all stakeholders including authorities.
• Managing a team of structural engineers for optimal deliverables.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

• MSc in Structural Engineering, PMP or similar degree in management preferred.
• Minimum 14 years’ experience with a Structural Engineering degree & registered with a Professional Engineering Institution.
• Minimum last 5 years’ experience in the UAE.
• Minimum 5 years’ strong consultancy experience, of which minimum 4 years must have been in the UAE.
• Minimum last 5 years in senior management or technical management positions.
• Unlimited License in Dubai Municipality.(highly preferred but willing to consider if not able to find suitable candidates)
• Excellent both verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Strong experience in analysis, design and permitting of Towers, Underground structures, Steel structures, Post tension, shoring.
