Job description / Role
- Under the direction of the HoD, assists the HoD in coordinating AKS’ raw and white sugar procurement, contract execution, and related functions.
- Assists the HoD in analysing raw and white sugar procurement requirements based on interpretation and assessment of AKS’ policies, practices, and experience
- Assists the HoD in reviewing, analysing, negotiating, and preparing , raw and white sugar procurement contracts, ensuring appropriate terms and conditions are included to protect the interests of AKS
- Assists the HoD in negotiating between AKS and vendors/suppliers on procurement contracts
- Assists the HoD in contract compliance, change orders, and problem resolution in conformance with contracts and applicable laws
- Assists the HoD in monitoring and reviewing progress of supplier/vendor relationships, resolving any problems that arise, performing post contract evaluations, creating and maintaining procurement records; performing periodic cost and productivity analyses
Requirements
- Law degree with a specialization in contract law/execution.
- 3 to 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
