Our client, a Multinational Petrochemical company is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Data Analyst

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Global Planning Leader, this role will support the Supply Chain organization in the implementation and maintenance of logistics work processes, disciplines and technology. The incumbent will develop and deliver regular performance and quality reporting on the full lifecycle of Supply Chain activities. The role will be responsible for: requirements analysis, designing and developing reporting capabilities, continuously monitoring performance and quality control plans and analysis of the reporting data to identify improvements.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Filter and “clean” Supply Chain data to locate and correct code problems and improve reporting output
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using statistical techniques and provide regular ongoing and ad hoc reports
- Work closely with management to continuously prioritize business and information needs
- Analyze reporting data to identify and define Supply Chain process opportunities and system improvements Additional Accountabilities
- Work with Regional Supply Chain leaders and purchasing function to evaluate bid proposals and analyze various models. This may require working off location hours
- Assists Supply Chain Director in the development of the Annual Logistics Budget
- Control certain Supply Chain KPI’s operate within agreed levels
- Develop and maintain vendor invoice reporting and monitor against assigned budgets
- Develops and implements Supply Chain Reporting
- Maintenance and Upkeep of certain Supply Chain reports
- Leads and assists Ad Hoc Projects.

Requirements

- Bachelor or Masters of Science degree in one of the following disciplines: Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
- Experience as a report developer and/or data analyst, comfortable in developing queries, models, reports; analyzing the resulting data and presenting findings
- Fluent knowledge of MS Excel (including pivot tables), Access, and PowerPivot software
- Experience with: data reporting software (Business Objects, Crystal Reports), relational databases, SQL, programming languages (VBA, XML, Java-script, ETL)
- Broad statistical experience with knowledge of statistical software packages for analysing large datasets (Excel, JMP, SPSS, SAS)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Theoretical and practical supply chain management knowledge
- Able to work independently and driven to deliver results
- Motivated to teach or coach team members in applying tools and principles
- Able to communicate in front of all levels within a matrix organisation to explain complex matters
- SAP R/3, MS and Windows platform experience would be an advantage
- Minimum 3 year of relevant experience.
