Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A large FMCG manufacturing group with a well know portfolio of household brands are currently looking for a Supply Chain & Logistics Director to manage the complete supply chain with a particular emphasis on in-bound and out-bound logistics & warehousing.

The position;
- Lead the Sales & Operational planning process and ensure that end to end value chain is in place.
- Co-ordinate with Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing & Purchasing departments regarding planning new products, costing and promotions.
- Establish supply contracts with new customers.
- Managing Demand Planing process from collecting forecasts up to alignment with Production Planing
- Manage and controll all inbound and outbound activities related to receipt, storage & dispatch.
- Manage warehouse and logistics activities in order to maintain continuous customer service.
- Ensure efficient finished goods inventory management - organise and control stock taking at period end and intermittent stock checks
- Organisation and completion of all process and business documentation in support of warehouse function.
- To effectively support and review all warehouse operations.
- Plan the distribution of finished products based on orders from distributors/customers.
- Co-ordinate logistics for product distribution, maintain relations with logistic service providers and monitor transport providers performance against supply logistic agreements
- Assist in freight negotiations and get a good understanding of transport, distribution regulations and codes of practice.
- Manage export shipments
- Manage the supply chain outsorcing function by ensuring the related resources are procured, converted into finished products and supplied to the customers, to the required service standards in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
- Manage service levels to all local and export market – drive customer service satisfaction levels
- Full customer service not only to external customers, but also internally to factory, brand teams and commercial sourcing.
- Estalbish stock norms for VMI customers and plan replenishment of stock accordingly
- Initiate and lead projects to continuously improve customer service and reduce supply chain total cost
- Lead ERP continiuos improvement plan from the front and ensure the optimum level of utlization of the same.

Requirements

Ideally you should be from a FMCG or food manufacturing background and have managed end to end supply chains, with a particular focus on transport and warehouse management. People coming from a 3PL background will also we considered.
