Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This is a great opportunity to join large MNC, HQ in the US, with rapidly growing operations in the ME. You will be reporting to the MD of the Business Unit and Regional Senior Manager Supply Chain.

Main responsibilities will include:

Costing
- To review and set annual standard costs, ensuring compliance with the Standard Rules & Guidelines on standard costing,
- To introduce costing of new items during the year, and on the timely basis.
- To provide the performance on a detailed monthly variance analysis (COGS + all variances), supported by value-added and actions driven commentary.
- To review and ensure reconciliation and proper valuation of the raw materials, WIP, semi-finished and finished goods inventories.
- To monitor the monthly inventories trend evolution, and support the local Supply Chain management team in identifying issues and executing the actions plans identified / agreed so as to optimize or reduce the inventories.
- To challenge and decide the slow-moving / obsolete stocks and assess the adequacy of provision required with the local SC management team, in accordance with the Corporate Provision policy.
- Management team to minimize the company exposure and justify the provision level.
- To be involved in all Capex requests related to the manufacturing / storage sites, including budget control and financial analysis for major purchases or projects.

Controlling & Reporting
- To ensure timely completion of all period-end closing activities related to costing and plant/warehouse activities, which would include to review the Supply chain expenses, and ensure that all major expenditures have been booked or provided for.
- To validate all exceptional bookings prior to the finalization of the expenses
- Generate the monthly reporting to control the plant, warehouse and logistics performance providing relevant variance analysis and evolution trends.
- To assist in internal and external audits.
- To coordinate with the local SC management and Finance Manager the cycle count/ annual inventory count, and review the results.
- To support company financial statements and reporting to HFM
- To lead and guide ERP implementations for any Supply Chain Finance related matter and modules.

Business Support
- To be the single point of contact for SC management team in providing the necessary business support required in all aspects of supply chain related activities such as management of expenses, investments/ divestments, working capital optimization, cost savings and productivity improvements and other local initiatives and strategies.
- This position will also play a critical role in the Budget and forecasting processes that will need to be defined and implemented.
- To drive and challenge the latest estimate and annual budget process with the SC management team, as far as the supply chain expenses are concerned, capex, working capital, following of any savings plans for those items, and other local initiatives, as well as to ensure the costing is done properly and according to the budgeted assumptions.
- To identify cost reductions / productivity improvements / product costing accuracy improvement opportunities, and drive for their implementation with the support of the SC management team or Regional/Global Supply Chain Controlling.
- To challenge and support the local SC management team in ad-hoc analysis in all operational aspects such as new plant investments, production transfers, plant planning activities, working capital optimization, etc.
- To calculate the cost-benefits of external tolling / sub-contracting arrangements on a periodic basis (monthly/ or at least quarterly), especially in relation to the assessment of the internal capacity available, impact on internal average manufacturing cost per kg.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Finance or Engineering
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in supply chain finance in a large Manufacturing Plant
- Ideally some experience setting up cost function
- Excellent knowledge of large ERPs ie SAP, Oracle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Accountable and able to work autonomously
