Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Supply planner , based in JAFZ, is responsible for the deployment of all Finished Goods and Marketing Materials from the global warehouse located in Jebel Ali Freezone to the local distribution centres in Saudi Arabia and U.A.E, ensuring enough stock is also left available for the Jebel Ali Export and Travel retail business. This activity is managed in Manugistics and the main goal is to deliver the agreed service level while optimising inventory and controlling cost drivers.

Manage the flow of product in and out of Jebel Ali by:
- Ensuring product availability in all ME distribution centers ( Jebel Ali, DIP, Jeddah, Riyadh ) following Manugistics recommendation and/or business arbitrage decision.
- Managing the subsequent deliveries to optimize costs
- Anticipating future availability issues and taking actions to mitigate service level
- Giving the stakeholder all the relevant information for him/her to take the best arbitrage decisions when global inventory is not enough to cover all demand
- Executing the business arbitrage decisions
- Work with demand planning on the service level improvement process. Goal is to analyze fulfillment rate root causes and to provide relevant action plans for improvement
- Work with the local teams to ensure perfect execution on product launches, promotions and discontinuations
- Analyzing, proposing and driving action plans to reduce total inventory levels
- Communicate to internal customers on a weekly / monthly basis all the relevant information for him/her to drive its service level

To lead continuous approach by:
- Identifying weaknesses and needs in the operational processes
- Proposing technical solutions
- Ensure alignment of between the various GDO teams
- Tracking results and measuring efficiency
- Developing and improving daily management systems

Requirements

Education: University Degree or above
Languages: Fluent English -> speak, read, write

Professional experience:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in demand or supply planning.
- Luxury goods or FMCG industry experience highly preferable.
- Exposure to Joint Venture operations an advantage

Skill set:
- Excellent analytical skills (advanced user of excel)
- Strong communication & negotiation skills
- Ability to deal with ambiguity/priorities
- Flexible with excellent problem solving skills
- Self-starter, highly motivated and pro-active
