Systems Engineer

Job description / Role

- Server/application design, installation and day to day support
- Database administration
- Server Backup/Restore administration
- Sharepoint Management
- Storage Management
- Implement Cloud solutions
- Providing systems integration expertise during the design/development effort to integrate all technical contributors into a unified team effort
- Supporting multiple engineering teams/tasks in system specifications, interface control documents, system/software architectures, technical and logistical requirements, testing, and other disciplines
- Developing the various artifacts (documentation) that show systems and systems of system are consistent and developed at an appropriate level of detail, and that changes are controlled
- Oracle Solaris 11 administration
- Oracle Solaris Zoning using ASM Technology
- Oracle DBs based on 10g and 11g
- Oracle RAC - Real-time application cluster
- Oracle Data guard
- Backup to disk and to tape using RMan and other solutions.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree with Server and systems engineering
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Redhat, Unix
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange
- Working knowledge of Storage Area Networks
- Working knowledge of VMWare , Hyper V, Citrix
- Working knowledge of Server Hardware
- Oracle & SQL Database management
- Must have ability to communicate effectively with individuals, customers, other employees.
- Pre-Sales Experience in designing Servers, SAN, Backup and Cloud Solutions
- One or more network certifications such as Microsoft, Oracle, VMWare, SUN etc
