Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Location of this role is open to GCC locations including: UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait or Levant locations: Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt

Role Purpose

Responsible for embedding the EYU promise and philosophy across all talent development processes, programs and communications and leverages strategic consulting expertise to drive organizational change initiatives that bring the philosophy to life. Focuses on the implementation of EYU in order to build the careers of our people, manage development of our existing and future leaders and drive high-performance teaming across the Region

Key Responsibilities

Strategy development

• Communicate and execute the EYU promise and philosophy, driving local initiatives to make this a reality
• Participate in strategic initiatives driven by the Talent Executive, provide Region insights and elevate Region best practices
• Implement global initiatives allowing for local cultural requirements and business priorities (e.g., Talent development maturity frameworks)
• Respond to the talent development implications of any organizational changes
• Enable minimum baseline of learning (TBC with Learning efforts)

Senior level business consulting

• Build and manage relationships with Region SL leadership and Region leadership team
• Consult with Area Talent Development Leader and participate in global networks
• Participate in external forums and events
• Maintain a strong understanding of key business and financial drivers that determine EY’s success
• Lead and implement change management activities within the Talent Development function as and when required

Manage regional learning and leadership development needs

• Manage the learning curriculum at Regional level
• Ensure that minimum baseline learning is prioritized within the Region
• Support the deployment of global or area learning locally
• Support technical compliance training necessary within the Region
• Coordinate within the Region “technical learning across services lines” as necessary
• Ensure that all Regionally deployed learning is up to date (e.g., induction programs)
• Work with Global learning team to deliver against regional learning requirements as necessary
• Oversee delivery and planning required for leadership agenda, Global NextGen, and milestone program support

Manage career development, performance management & experiences

• Align to global process for PMDP, career management and experience management (e.g. senior managers’ career path, counselling families, “managers as coach” network, talent reviews etc.)
• Set region approach and have overall accountability for fair and equitable performance management process
• Set region approach and have overall accountability for fair and equitable mobility development programs

Team management and operations

• Manage resourcing, team dynamics and performance of the Talent development team members
• Own and manage Region EYU budget including oversight of the aggregated learning deployment budgets across SLs and FW learning (TBC with Learning efforts)
• Oversee any shared service provision in relation to Talent development

Requirements

Skills

• Strong leadership and people management capabilities
• Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
• Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between the talent team strategy and business strategy
• Strategic planning
• Strong client focus with the ability to network, build good relationships and work virtually/ across borders
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organisation at all levels
• Ability to engage and influence others, with good change management skills and a desire to act as a change agent

Experiences

• Significant experience of working in HR in professional services or corporate environment
• Experience of working in organizational behavior, talent development, or succession planning preferred
• Track record in leading a team
• Established networks with relevant external groups/ organizations
• Working in international and diverse environments
