The VAT Manager should have a good level of technical knowledge and experience in dealing with and managing client relationships. You should have the ability to identify and address client needs, build solid relationships, and be able to communicate with clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner.

You should also have an awareness of PwC services and experience in working as part of a team, understanding personal and team roles and building solid relationships with team members.

The role:
- Assist and advise clients on the introduction and implementation of VAT in the GCC and wider Middle East region
- Advise clients with local and global VAT issues, including advising on the operation of VAT, transaction analysis, supply chain, business expansion, and mergers and acquisitions
- Identify, document, and recommend client business requirements for VAT compliance and assist with processes and systems
- Develop new and existing client and internal relationships
- Prepare VAT training presentations aimed at external and internal audiences
- Develop and mentor new staff

Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in VAT
- Relevant Business degree and/or Tax qualification
- Fluent in English
- Good technical ability
- Experience of working with clients and practical experience in the operation of VAT
- Self-motivated with the ability to generate and plan work and manage priorities
- Ability to develop and maintain existing internal and client relationships and help to build new relationships
