Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:

Ensure all workshop, yard operations and site projects are undertaken in a safe, efficient and professional manner, whilst fulfilling all necessary technical and quality requirements. Provide leadership and supervision to personnel, to ensure the team is motivated, and producing work to the required standards.

Responsibilities / Duites / Job Skills

- Lead the workshop personnel’s, for all daily activities, providing guidance, leadership and support to ensure all works are conducted safely and to the required quality, and technical standard.
- Conduct daily morning meeting for workshop team.
- Check attendance of the personnel and report to workshop supervisor.
- Gather information from workshop supervisor and assign tasks and targets to the team, ensuring the team works to the require project guidelines.
- Monitor man hours spent on projects and assist the workshop supervisor in identifying possible areas of improvement for future/similar projects.
- Check incoming material in coordination with the quality team, to ensure that it is correct and stored in designated area
- Manage store and goods used from stock, project material, general workshop tools, and equipment and report the shortfall to workshop Supervisor.
- Undertake offshore/onshore projects when needed.
- Ensures that production and productivity are maintained in accordance with works schedule.
- Responsible for HSE and the general housekeeping in the workshop and yard.
- Review equipment and opportunities for improvement in the workshop to ensure best possible output is achieved from production.
- In cases when the Team Leader is assigned to a smaller Project without Supervisors and the Team Leader is the Responsible person onboard – the following tasks will be included in the responsibility:
- Manage the Personnel Load and ensure all critical tasks are being addressed progressed according to delivery requirements.
- Monitor Man Hours spent on projects and assist the Project Engineer/Manager in identifying possible areas of improvement for future/similar projects.
- Check Project material in conjunction with the Project team.
- Manage Project Material and Tools/Equipment.
- Checking for Consumables (Welding Electrodes, Grinding Discs, etc.) to ensure the Project and is prepared and always have sufficient quantities.
- Conduct Tool Box / Kick Off Meetings with Team Members to ensure all are aware of Safety Critical Activities on a daily basis.
- Ensure and checks attendance and prepares daily timesheets. Timesheets to be signed weekly/monthly by the Client (depending on Project requirements).
- Ensures that production and productivity are maintained in accordance with works schedule.
- Attend Client Meetings and to provide daily updates on the Project Progress.

Requirements

Knowledge / Qualifications / Experience:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field.
- Experience in handling Offshore and Remote Projects ranging from 5 people to 10 people.
- Trade Qualified Welder/Fitter preferred, Piping/Structure/Mechanical background or similar.
- Knowledge of steel fabrication (piping and structural).
- Understanding of welding procedure specification, Heat Treatment procedure, beneficial.
- Knowledge of High Pressure piping (5,000psi, 10,000psi, 15,000psi WP) beneficial.
- Technical knowledge of welding processes (GTAW, SMAW, FCAW).
- Awareness regarding:
- The organisation's quality, environmental, or health and safety policies;
- Job Specific procedures, instructions and formats.
- Relevant quality, environmental, or health and safety objectives;
- Their contribution to the effectiveness of the management system;
- Benefits of improved performance;
- The implications of not conforming to management system requirements
