Job description / Role
A leading international supplier of Passive Fire Protection systems have a requirement for a Technical Sales Manager to join their team in the UAE. The role will hold regional responsibility (UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, KSA & Iran).
The primary purpose of the position is to give technical advice to architects, installers, authorities, contractors, clients and fire departments whilst managing the designated territory and achieving sales targets.
The position reports to the Middle East Regional Manager.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Establish a network of architects, specifiers, contractors, installers, dealers and fire departments.
- Advise on all existing and new fire resistant products and solutions, which can be supplied by the company, in order to become the preferential partner with regard to fire protection.
- Give training on all possible products and applications in the field of fire protection.
- Take determined steps in order to detect projects, where company solutions and systems can be applied.
- Provide information on the possible added value of all company products and systems in the construction industry.
- Follow-up of contacts with architects with regard to projects and construction sites in progress.
- Provide the necessary advice to the contractors/ applicators; make a price indication for the given construction.
- Provide the necessary support and advice during the installation of the systems.
- Give training to architects, installers, contractors, dealers, etc.
- Record market activity in required format, soon to be CRM.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience.
- Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Understanding of construction sales.
- Good technical understanding and skills.
- Sales & commercial skills when entering the function is considered an advantage.
- Standards with regard to fire protection.
The Technical Sales Manager must be well organized, self motivated and act with integrity at all times.
Arabic language skills are preferred but not essential.
