Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As an Anesthesia Technician you will prepare and maintain anesthetic equipments for operating theaters and clinics and assist anesthetists during the anesthetic procedures.

You will be responsible of performing the following tasks:
- Prepare equipment such as the appropriate airway devices and regional / neuraxial equipment requested by the Anesthesiologist.
- Prepare clearly labeled (initialed/dated/timed) syringes and accurately draw up non opioid anesthetic medications.
- Maintain all medications organized, readily accessible, and under supervision (all opioids and semi controlled drugs such as propofol will be in a locked box/cart when tech leaves the OR).
- Maintain immediate access to drugs required for emergency patient care.
- Assist the anesthesiologist during induction, intubation, maintenance, and emergence of patient from anesthesia.
- Maintain accurate records of drug and consumable usage for appropriate patient billing.
- Prepare and insert the peripheral IV cannula into the patient with approval from the anesthesiologist
- Monitor the patient’s vital signs, comfort, lack (or presence) of awareness, and depth of anesthesia during procedures/operations
- Comply with Al Noor Hospital EHSMS requirements, and be familiar with all EHSMS policies, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

- Graduate with 2 years diploma in Anesthesia Techniques
- Post qualification minimum 2 years relevant experience.
- Current Valid HAAD License, DHA License or exempted from the HAAD exam.
- Proficiency in English Language, Arabic Language would be desired.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and social skills
- Organized and methodical.
- Able to relate to people from different cultural backgrounds.
