Job description / Role
The purpose of this role is to provide assistance to students' academic needs, coordinate with faculty seeking support for students in the Writing Center and Learning Support Center, and tutor the students on academic writing.
Responsibilities
- Assists faculty members in academic functions of the Learning Support Center and Writing Center.
- Provides individual and small group learning assistance.
- Assists students in the development of appropriate study strategy and techniques.
- Assists coordinators in the development and evaluation of tutoring materials and services.
- Performs administrative tasks related to Learning Support Center and Writing Center correspondence, etc.
- Maintains a record of tutoring sessions.
- Guides students in project writing.
- Coordinates with college faculty in administering writing workshops and special sessions for students' academic success.
- Provides individual and small group learning assistance to students.
- Assists students in the development of appropriate study strategy and techniques.
- Guides and helps at-risk students and work towards improving their academic performance.
- Coordinates with other support departments as per the instructions of the faculty / course coordinator from time to time.
Contract duration: One Academic Semester (renewable)

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in the related discipline (Postgraduate degree is desirable).
- Must have a residency visa + No objection letter from sponsor to work with ADU.
