Temporary Accountant

Job description / Role

The Accountant role is initially a temporary vacancy and therefore only those whom are on their spouse or family member’s sponsorship will be considered.

Essentially a manpower organisation in the humanitarian sector, our client provides support to conflict affected countries and communities on the ground. It provides rapid mobilization of both highly skilled and unskilled personnel from Administrators to Doctors. With manpower in countries across the Middle East and Africa, part of the role of the Finance Assistant will involve client liaison, so the successful applicant will be a confident communicator across all levels of seniority.

Responsibilities for this role will include invoice processing and management, accounts receivable and payable, reconciliations, cash flow, reports and general ledger activities with the use of Peachtree. Excel is also used extensively within the team and advanced skills here; including pivot tables, v look ups, macros and trackers are a distinct advantage for this position. There may also be some credit control tasks and therefore those with exposure of aged debt reports and chasing payments directly with clients is also an advantage. As the finance team is small they possess a strong work ethic, having proved to be both loyal and well established for several years. Therefore, a strong all-round General Accountant with a similar small and involved team exposure would be an ideal fit.

Requirements

This role would IS for those candidates wishing to work in an extremely fast moving and demanding environment to enhance their finance career. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills and have a finance degree or relevant qualification, such as AACA or CPA with a minimum of 1-year UAE experience. It is essential that you possess a family or spouse visa.
