Employment: Full Time

Our Client is a global pump manufacturing, providing technology for the transport, treatment, testing and efficient water usage by municipalities’ utility companies, commercial and residential building services developers and within the industrial and agricultural settings. They operate globally through a number of market leading brands.

They are currently recruiting for a Site Trade Compliance Officer.

As a Trade Compliance Officer, you will be in charge of developing and implanting procedures required to business activities comply with the companies’ policies. You would be in charge of managing the movement of products/equipment/materials in and/or out of the country in accordance with organizational policy and procedure, and to comply with the relevant local, country and international law and process. This individual would also be responsible for managing the necessary documentation for the efficient, cost-effective and lawful execution of all import/export activities. You would be working to research and report future changes and projects in import/export laws and in relevant local territory practices, and ensure such knowledge is factored into the planning of the department’s own strategy resources and procedures. You would be conducting on-site and remote audits as well as providing compliance training.

Requirements

- As this is a leadership role you must have outstanding communication skills and be able to manage under pressure.
- Ability to work remotely in a global team, self- motivated and flexible, International travel will be required.
- Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders.

Knowledge and experience of:
- Basic Customs regulations and Free Trade agreements
- Basic Export Regulations with regard to Dual-Use, Military and Nuclear classified products.
- Determining requirements for export and re - export licenses
- Applying for and obtaining licenses from relevant government export regulation authorities (local, EU, US)
- Free Trade Zone, preferred U.A.E area
- Project management experience
- Working in a cross-functional or cross-cultural environment preferred

The role will involve constant learning and updating on compliance regulations, and will require an ongoing and active commitment to learning
