Trade Finance Associate

Job description / Role

- Prepare Letters of Guarantee’s
- Check the authenticity of customers’ signatures
- Approve customer advices, fill-in applications and verify supporting documents
- Ensure DNFS checks are carried out against customers
- Follow-up on renewals and ensure commissions are charged on all types of renewable guarantees, including internal and external back-to-back guarantees
- Ensure amendments, cancellations, and liquidation of L/G’s are performed
- Follow-up with clients and banks (local & foreign)
- Ensure required guarantee is within the approved facilities of client
- Formulation of swift messages for release of all Guarantees issued abroad
- Ensure Import LC Applications to be within approved limits or gain approvals on these
- Handle all LC (including export LC) related activity including; acceptance, documentation, administration, checking, validating and settlements
- Coordinate with the Ministry of Finance for all settlement matters and monthly reporting

Requirements

- Priority for this opportunity will be given to Emirati nationals with direct relevant experience
- Graduate/ Post graduate in Finance, Trade or Business
- Opportunity to gain CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) certification. If already holding this then it would be a significant plus
- Knowledge of relevant trade finance products
- Team Player, strong time management skills and can work to tight time scales
- Fast learner capable of working under own initiative and wanting to progress their career
