Employment: Full Time

Training Engineer/Coordinator - Operations, ITM Operations and Maintenance Company

Training Engineer - Operations is responsible for:
- Custodian of the training simulators and delivering the training programs;
- Follow up the new UAE national trainees and to coordinate their training programs with the Operation Manager.
- Coordinate with the Training Manager with all related training issues for operations
- Coordinate with the site Shift Managers in all related training issues on eLearning programs, presentations, PQRs and assist in setting the developmental target for performance management system
- Assist the Operation Manager as a Safety Controller and in arranging the manpower distribution
- To prepare relevant training schedules based on the operational requirements and individual development plans
- To coordinate with the Shift Manager and Training Manager to review and re-evaluate the staff qualification (PQR) system of the operation section.
- To coach and support, as required, the trainees during the the normal execution of their duties to achieve high HS&E and operational standards.
- To manage and update PQR information, arrange the learning resources and training material, technical manuals, technical drawings, related procedures etc.
- To contribute to the development, implementation and regular review of the training policies, procedures and systems to ensure consistent & systematic application of best practices and to improve plan performance.
- To review the requirements of training documents like operational procedures, system specific presentations and develop On the Job Training (OJT) programs for UAE national trainees

Requirements

- University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering – or equivalent experience
- English is mandatory, Arabic is an advantage
- 10 – 15 years in the operation of a large thermal power generation and desalination plant;
- 5 years experience in the delivery of training and development of course content
- Hands-on experience at field and control room operations;
- Sound technical knowledge of open/combined cycle power plants and MSF/MED desalination plant – will consider extensive power experience and other process experience such as Petro-Chemical or Heavy Industrial
- Excellent inter-personal, communication and report writing skill.
- Competent user of PC and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to coordinate and direct and influence others. He should show capability of leadership
- High degrees of Empathy and Patience
- Ability to teach the required skills to operation engineers.
- Ability to develop training manuals and have excellent communication skills in English.
- Superior mentoring skills
- Local Abu Dhabi Contract with occasional shift work necessary
