Employment: Full Time

The primary role of the Travel Retail Manager is to prospect for new partners by networking through existing relationships with all regions of Travel Retail. They must then plan sales approaches and pitches that will convince potential partners to do business with the company.

They are also required to grow and manage existing accounts by presenting new ranges & updating partners\' portfolios. Strategic planning is a key part of this job, since it is the Travel Retail Managers responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming into the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the range/services that can be provided, and of the company\'s competitors.

New Business Development:
* Prospect for potential new Travel Retail opportunities and turn this into increased business.
* Cold call as appropriate within the market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Meet potential partners by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network and visiting trade shows.
* Identify potential partners, and the decision makers within the organisations.
* Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speak to the customer\'s needs, concerns, and objectives.
* Participate in pricing the proposition to the customers.
* Make necessary investment decisions that will provide adequate ROI.

Existing Partnerships:
* Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships
* Work with internal colleagues to meet customers\' needs. I.e. Logistics, Marketing, Sales staff, in store formation.
* Arrange and participate in internal and external training sessions.
* Coordinate strategies with current brands and align with customers.
* Manage stock levels in store and forecast stock requirements.
* Manage the day to day activities and thrive to increased sales out while minimising stock risk.

Business Development Planning:
* Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
* Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
* Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
* Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company\'s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

Management and Research:
* Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
* Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met.
* Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
* Work with marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.
* Understand the company\'s goal and purpose so that they will continue to enhance the company\'s performance.

Requirements

* A bachelor\'s degree
* 5 years of sales or marketing experience
* Travel retail experience is essential
* Experience in the Middle East is preferred but not essential for this role
