Treasury Operations Manager (Middle Office)

Argyll Scott are working exclusively with a leading FMCG client to find their next Treasury Manager.

This Treasury Manager will be looking after the group's cash management and reporting function for the business and be working closely with the Treasury Director and the Finance Team to manage the following responsibilities:

- Optimize cash management and automation across the business.
- Identify group-wide internet banking or cash reporting opportunities.
- Assist the Treasury Director in establishing cash pooling structures and inter-company financing
- Lead the development and implementation of common cash management solutions for all legal entities.
- Setting up Treasury operations for newly acquired businesses in accordance with company standards
- Cash flow forecasting, including preparation of consolidated 12-week cash flow and an 18-month rolling cash flow.
- Conduct monthly review of cash forecasts received by business units;
- Preparation of the 12 -month rolling exposure report ensuring that all currency exposures are identified and reported on a monthly basis
- Manage and improve the companys payment systems and controls.
- Participate in creating processes and procedures to ensure smooth and compliant start-up of Payment Factory Services
- Bank Account Management; manage bank mandates and ensure renewal of these mandates on a frequent basis.
- Ensure that processes are in place to support ongoing operations activities in a controlled way in line with treasury policy and levels of authority
- Review banking arrangements, minimize bank charges.
- Assist in the development of credit risk metrics for the companys customers and assist in the working capital management in the most effective way
- Hedge Documentation and Effectiveness tests preparation/ Train other members of the team on hedge accounting
- Assist in the implementation of a new Treasury Management System
- Back office management (settlement of derivatives)
- Lead special projects and drive continuous improvement within the Treasury Function
- Support business units across GCC and North Africa on cash management related activities and currency repatriation

Requirements

- University graduate in Accounting and Finance, MSc in Finance/ MBA preferred
- Minimum 7-9 years of treasury experience in a multinational corporate environment
- Recent experience of implementing or updating a Treasury Management System
- Working knowledge of settlement procedures and E-banking systems
- Exposure to broad range of cash management products and markets, some experience in FX risk management
- Team player with ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with non-specialists
- Strong personality who has the experience and credibility to push back on the business to drive change
