Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Responsible for effectively managing key prospective and existing corporate relationships in order to ensure achievement of targets in terms of profit, income, trade volumes etc. Also has responsibility for the quality of assets in the portfolio. Manages relationship team members in matters pertaining to the accounts managed by them.
- Plans and co-ordinates marketing of products and services to all clients within the portfolio with the objective to maximise revenue/return
- Develops, enhances and maintains relationships with existing and new clients to ensure team revenue / profit targets are met.
- Ensures that relationship plans for all customers and high priority prospects are completed. Implements structured calling program to give effect to these plans.
- Facilitates cross selling of bank products
- Monitors customer account activity and early warning indicators in order to identify potential risk deterioration
- Ensures provision of high quality and timely service to clients
- Ensures that all documentation for a credit proposal is complete and works with the credit admin to ensure that there is no security shortfall
- Verifies/Inspects hypothecated/pledged inventory, mortgaged fixed assets/real estate periodically to ensure minimum credit risk
- Manages and coaches junior team members on an ongoing basis
- Ensures adherence to guidelines and rectification of discrepancies pointed out in the any exception report or by internal, external and Central Bank auditors
- Maintains contact with competitor bank counterparts in order to identify risk sharing opportunities

Requirements

The individual must be a results driven leader with the ability to manage and develop staff.

Mandatory Skills:
- Credit Appraisal
- Financial analysis/quantitative skills
- Awareness of Market and Industry trends
- Knowledge of Internal Banking Processes
- Banking product knowledge including trade, cash management and treasury
