Job description / Role
Position Title: Veterinary Assistant
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: up to 6,500 AED, all-inclusive depending on experience and qualifications plus incentives
Job Location: Dubai, UAE
Job Role:
- Feeding and caring for cats
- Assisting Veterinarians during examinations
- Performing administrative duties
- Ensuring all areas are clean, for cats and humans alike
- Cleaning cages and bathe cats
- Sterilizing equipment and clean examination tables and rooms
- Restraining pets during examinations or vaccinations
- Administering medication prescribed by Veterinarians (e.g., by mixing it with food)
- Will rotate in attending or having duty hours in the reception area along with Vet Assistant & Vet Nurses
Requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or a certificate from a Veterinary Assistant program is a plus
- With 1- year proven experience in the same role
- Experience in an administrative role is a plus, current or former pet ownership is an advantage
- Must be comfortable being around cats
- Must be available to work occasionally in an emergencies
- Has patient and caring personality
- Must be a non-smoker
- Excellent communication skills
