Job description / Role
A leading government entity in Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint a Videography and Photography Officer through third party contractor, this role reports to the Communications Unit Head. Videography and Photography Officer will be responsible to contribute to the photographic and image requirements. He /she will also be responsible for documenting the majority of activities and events taking place across the organization according to the departments’ needs and cataloguing the content in the digital asset database.
Main Responsibilities:
- Produce high quality photographs and videos of activities taking place across the organization as per requests made to the Communications Unit by the entity different departments
- Manage the photography / videography schedule as well as the ingestion of content captured into the database
- Manage outsourced photographers, videographers and editors when required.
- Implement the workflow as per Communication’s teams guidelines and as per approval received from Communications Unit Head for the capture, indexation, management and storage of content captured
- Process images, films and enter data into the entity’s multimedia database according to the approved template provided by the Senior Visual & Images Officer and Communications team
- Edit footage and photographs captured
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree specializing in Visual Arts or any other relevant major with a focus on photography and or substantive relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a professional photographic environment, with previous digital videography experience
- Knowledge of design software’s (e.g. Adobe InDesign, Illustrator)
- Knowledge of video software (e.g. Adope Premiere, After Effects)
- Proficient in image manipulation (e.g. Adobe creative cloud: Photoshop, Bridge, Adobe Lightroom)
- Experience in working at a professional photographic environment and practical understanding of digital capture, including low and high end capture devices and color management.
- Fluency in English and knowledge of Arabic an added advantage
