Water Engineer - Civil - Abu Dhabi, UAE

CH2M’s Water business is expanding its delivery capabilities in the UAE offices to support the delivery of major water related projects throughout the Middle East region.

Our continued growth and development has led to an increased need for an entry level water engineer to join our Engineering & Design team.

The team deals with a wide range of public, private and industrial water sector clients.
- Design of wet infrastructure facilities including water, sewerage, drainage, irrigation and fire fighting system
- Design of water and wastewater pipelines and pumping stations
- Hydraulic design of wet infrastructure works
- Hydraulic design of flood risk works
- Site visit for data collection and verification
- Preparing design calculations and drawings
- Preparing technical reports and presentations
- Assisting with the preparation of tender documentation and specification

Requirements

- A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is MUST
- A Master's degree in civil engineering/water resources/environmental/earth sciences is preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of engineering design experience in water field
- Hands on experience in industry design and modelling softwares, such as MIKE URBAN, WATER/ SEWER GEMS, INFOWORKS, EPANET, INFOWATER, WINDES etc.
- Experience of hydrologic and hydraulic assessments using SCS methods and 1D/2D surface modelling such as MIKE, HEC, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller is preferred.
- Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD, Bently Software, Microstation, Arc-GIS, GIS and 3D Modelling Tools.
- Understanding of groundwater, land drainage and SUDS.
- Design experience of flood conveyance and flood protection structures
- Experience of working on projects for MENA clients preferred
- Periodic travel to offices within MENAI region will be expected
- Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong analytical skills
