Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with an IT service company that specialises in delivering web projects based on sophisticated WCM solutions for a portfolio of clients across the GCC region. With headquarters in Europe, our client is experiencing an active growth period across the GCC and is looking to hire a WCM Architect to join their business in Dubai.
Your key responsibilities will include leading the technology teams to design, building and maintaining web applications using Magnolia CMS platform. You will be accountable for but not be limited to designing and developing site architecture, custom components, custom workflows, object model designs (Java APIs), implementation strategy and unit testing.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have a Degree in computer / information sciences with a minimum of 7 years’ overall progressive experience in IT. You should have at least 2 years’ of design and development experience with Magnolia CMS comprising of Page templates, Components, Bundles and JCR queries as well as a minimum of 3 years’ development experience working with Web Content Management (WCM) products. It is crucial you have at least 2 years’ development / implementation experience using one or more ECM tools.
It is essential you have a background in JavaScript libraries coupled with proficiency in SQL programming with strong relational database knowledge including the ability to write, analyse and debug queries. You should have excellent English communication skills. Arabic would be highly advantageous for this role.
