Web Content Specialist

Job description / Role

Our client, a leading consultancy firm is looking for a web content specialist to join their sales and marketing team.

The Content Marketing Specialist will work alongside the Webmaster and marketing team to ensure the firm’s website contains the most up to date and pertinent information, presented in an engaging, visually stimulating and informative way. The person will also be responsible for leveraging best practices from the global network and leveraging social media tools to build client engagement.

The main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving & reviewing regular and ad hoc content publishing requests:
- Checking with content owner that the relevant rights for documents and imagery have been obtained.
- Providing guidance to content owners on posting based on current guidelines.
- Uploading site resources and creating web pages accordingly.
- Updating and maintaining web banners, menus, galleries, and other information in a Content Management System SharePoint website
- Curate, edit and write content for the website, newsletters, social media channels and blogs.
- Building and populating new web pages, create event specific social media sites and micro sites
- Develop a social media strategy.
- Manage all social media properties.
- Develop and own social media KPIs.
- Ensure content is optimized for SEO.
- Content outreach to ensure effective content distribution to target audiences.
- Key contact to source content from global and drive regional requirements from global content pipeline.
- Monitor key online communities.
- Deliver consumer insights from social media.
- Drive online engagement.
- Manage the production and dissemination of management reports
- Performs general web site maintenance

Requirements

- Experience developing content marketing strategies.
- At least 3 years professional experience ideally gained in a large corporate environment or working with an agency.
- Exceptional at writing and editing
- Able to write quality content for a broad spectrum of business subject matter areas
- Well-versed in SEO best practices
- Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools for insights and reports
- Experienced with social media advertising: Facebook and Twitter
- Comfortable in a few different CMSs;
- Organized with an eagle-eye attention to detail
