Western Project Director (Mechanical)

Job description / Role

We are looking for a Western Project Director (Mechanical) to work for an EPC / Contractor in Abu Dhabi.

The Project Director will be responsible for managing a project team to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
- Need to build credibility, respectful partnerships and apply rigorous and disciplined approaches whilst executing the delivery of the project in our existing portfolio of work.
- Seeking a candidate who has capability in driving strategy and innovation as well as providing the foundations for a motivating and challenging work environment.
- The successful candidate will have a tertiary background in either construction and project management with a proven track record of 25 years’ experience working on projects of at least $250m to $500m value with ‘Oil and Gas Construction Mechanical Projects experience.
- The project director will also be strong in the following areas; client liaison, construction management and providing guidance and assistance to project managers and contract administrators on all construction projects. The ideal candidate must have experience working in a creative environment and will have excellent communication and leadership skills.
- This position will also be accountable for the performance of the project team regarding to profitability, cost control, quality, efficiency, client satisfaction and also work place health, safety and environmental issues.
- The project director shall possess strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to motivate himself and his team.

Requirements

- Must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 20 years experience with at least 10 in Mega Oil & Gas works
- Must have Middle East experience
- Must be a Western National
