Resident engineer Roads – Uganda

Client is an international engineering consultancy who is a global leader in design and consulting for private and government highways and infrastructure projects. They have been involved in some complex and challenging projects that have helped reshape infrastructure with in developing counties.

Seeking for an experienced RE to be an integral part of leading the team of engineers and completing the design of a complex highway whilst liaising with the client and relevant authorities.

Requirements

* Hold a degree in civil engineering
* Hold a masters or equivalent
* 15+ years’ experience on highways and infrastructure construction projects.
* 5 years’ experience in Africa * Previous experience with a major consulting engineering company
* Working knowledge of Highways Agency pavement design standards Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Knowledge of EU standards
* Excellent English communication skills

This role will involve assisting and training junior staff and insuring timely delivery of the project. Being a key department representative, attending meetings with the authorities, statutory bodies whilst seeking new business opportunities.
