Employment: Full Time

OBJECTIVES & KEY DELIVERABLES OF THE ROLE

• Increase the number of permits applied for
• Achieve higher approval rates for new LNG installations
• Reduce overall project timeline (including accreditation of ‘L3’ sub-contractors)
• Reduce overall costs by replacing reactive expert support requests with proactive technical procedures and support

This is expected to be achieved through:

• Mapping of LNG specific legal requirements within countries where LNG is present / planned
• Detailed project schedule for LNG project (as per LNG end-to-end assurance process)
• Develop competency matrix for required L3s
• Develop training / accreditation plan for required L3s
• Develop top areas of concern & support for the permitting process (lessons learnt, typical questions, etc)
• Transfer this knowledge and skillset to the L2s.

Requirements

We are seeking an LNG Retail Site Engineer to help our local engineering teams and contractors install, maintain and troubleshoot LNG equipment on sites safely, affordably and quickly.

This will be a 2 year role on a Global Engineering team. The role will work closely with local teams, primarily in Europe (Germany, UK, and the Netherlands, and potentially Turkey and Poland), with some support to China.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

• Secure permits to build LNG sites in a timely fashion, by giving credible, responsible technical insights to regulators.
• Train contracting partners (‘L2s’) how to train and accredit their sub-contractors (‘L3s’) to install and maintain the equipment properly, safely, in a timely fashion

The Engineering team actively seeks diversity and the fresh perspective that it brings, particularly in gender. The ETDG team would welcome all candidates who feel they meet the required criteria and demands of the ETDG role.

• Understanding of local regulations
• Permit process – having technical depth and gravitas to assure regulators that the LNG site will be safely handled, reducing requests for more information and delays
• Project management, installation and commissioning start up of LNG Retail Stations.
• Demonstration of legal compliance.
• Operation and maintenance of LNG retail stations
• Performance management of the LNG retail stations & application of continuous improvements
• Change management for design improvements
• Contractor management for maintenance and operations activities
• Incident investigations of incidents at LNG retail stations
• Legal compliance of LNG retail stations

Base requirements:

• The Candidate should be based in Europe.
• Fluent in English. Proficiency in German a plus, but not required.
