Project Manager

Job description / Role

GulfTalent is one of the largest online recruitment portals serving the Middle East region, with offices in Dubai and London. Founded in 2005, it is now used by over 5 million individuals and 6,000 companies. To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team in London.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the role will act as a key interface between the business and the IT function.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing for each project a clearly defined plan, including critical path, dependencies, piloting and key milestones
- Ensuring internal/external project participants take ownership for their responsibilities
- Identifying and communicating project status to key stakeholders and key project resources
- Producing high level report for projects, updating their status on a regular basis
- Creating and maintaining a log and action list of tasks to deal with issues
- Ensuring relevant teams are engaged and equipped with the necessary information and skills to support project initiatives to meet the project timeline
- Tracking project expenditure against budget

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate exceptional technical, communication, organisational and influencing skills alongside experience of working in a project management role.

Requirements

- Previous exposure to software development is required, actual experience as a developer is helpful but not essential
- Previous experience in a similar role, a technical environment background would be nice to have but not essential
- Experience of successfully managing a range of projects from requirement definition through to project closure
- Strong working knowledge in a project management role or an analysis based role with project leadership responsibility
- Strong understanding of project management principles - planning, tracking, risk management, issue management reporting
- Strong analytical and problem solving capability
- An excellent academic record in a technical/numerate discipline
- Evidence of continued career progression
