Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator - New York, USA

Continued construction of a major commercial projects in New York, USA has created this opportunity as a Quantity Surveyor with our client, an international commercial stone contracting firm from Canada. This role as Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for preparing specifications, tenders and bills of quantities.
Reporting to the National Commercial Manager, this role is responsible for the following:
- Preparing all Specifications, Tender documents and Bills of Quantities.
- Commercial control of subcontract packages.
- Maximise value recovery, implement cost control and cash management, measurement, valuation and payments.
- Preparation of feasibility reports through to final accounts reporting.
- Compile financial reports and documents and agree final accounts.
- Process and resolve contractual claims.
- Manage subcontract order documentation and accounts.
Requirements
- Degree in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or comparable experience with RCIS being highly regarded.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in quantity surveying within the commercial fit out sector.
- A stone contracting experience in commercial construction or fit outs is also desirable.
- The communicator we seek must have a strong attention to detail, be commercially savvy and have strong numerical reasoning skills.
