Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Provide technical, administrative and consultancy support to establish the National Center of Excellence in Logistics and Supply Chain in consensus with various departments of Royal Commission.

To establish an industry focused national logistics center of excellence in Yanbu to address industry technology challenges facing the movement, storage and supply of goods in the Kingdom.

Work closely with the Director, Yanbu Research Center in establishing the National Center of Excellence in Logistics and Supply Chain in association with the RC Project team as proposed in the Economic Vision 2030.

Responsibilities:
- To establish an industry focused national logistics center of excellence in Yanbu to address industry technology challenges facing the movement, storage and supply of goods in the Kingdom.
- Work closely with the Director, Yanbu Research Center in establishing the National Center of Excellence in Logistics and Supply Chain in association with the RC Project team as proposed in the Economic Vision 2030.
- Associate with various departments of Royal Commission, specifically the Industrial Cluster department in establishing the center in tune with the multi-modal logistic hub.
- Develop planning framework for the constitution of the Center in association with the RC departments.
- Organize meeting with various stakeholders as part of the establishment of the Center and prepare minutes.
- Respond quickly and effectively in resolving administrative and technical issues and provide advisory support whenever required.
- Develop reports, review policies, procedures and systems based on international best practices in logistics and supply chain systems.
- Develop and maintain liaison with international logistics and supply chain consultants and companies for the establishment of the Center.
- Review the Feasibility study reports and other documents submitted by the technical consultancies and advice the management in the establishment of the Center.
- Engage with Saudi logistic providers to determine structuring and buy-in to the Center.
- Oversee the development and implementation of effective and efficient management of RC systems for the establishment of the Center.
- Work as a team to identify and resolve issues so as best to support establishment of the Center.
- Other duties delegated by the RC Managers, from time to time.

Requirements

- Masters degree in Logistics and Supply chain from a western university with engineering background; preference will be given to those with PhD in the field
- At least 10 years of experience in the field of logistic and supply chain at the managerial level after the highest degree.
- Strong proven track record in the establishment of international Logistic and supply chain centers/ institutes.
- Experience in working with international logistic and supply chain consultants.

- Excellent communication skills (Fluent English: speaking and writing)
