Project Controls Manager - Urban Water - Africa

A leading international engineering consultancy company is URGENTLY looking for Project Controls Manager to work on urban water systems project. The role will be based in Southern Africa and will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the planning, estimating, cost control, risk management and document control services and for providing information to allow proactive and accurate reporting for the project technical matters.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of the program controls systems including both cost and schedule control functions.
- Develop and implement the project controls execution strategy to achieve the contract requirements
- Developing project controls standards, policies and procedures
- Coordination with program management team on all aspects of project controls
- Establishing and managing the project master schedule, budget and project cost control, risk management plan, document control and change control
- Progress, cost and risk monitoring and analysis
- Provide monthly and weekly reports
- Preparing and making presentations

Requirements

- BSc in engineering, construction management/ administration or equivalent. MSc. in Project Management preferred.
- 15+ years demonstrable experience with planning, budgeting, scheduling and document controls of major urban water systems development programs/projects
- Experience in project controls systems for urban water systems specifically in major infrastructure development projects with multiple sub-projects or works contracts.
- Excellent knowledge and expertise in project management and controls platforms.
- Ability to effectively monitor and analyze progress, cost and risks, identify trends and recommend corrective actions
- Managed project controls on at least one (1) project with a value of over USD65M and containing multiple project components.
- Experienced user of MS Office and Primavera
- Previous experience in the Middle East and Africa desirable.
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
